SPEAKERS
Dr. Jim Dunn gave his life to Jesus at the age of seven at the altar of the church his father pastored in Tucson, Arizona. Dunn dedicated his life to the Lord’s service at the age of twelve and hasn’t looked back. Committed to The Wesleyan Church, he was ordained and has been a minister in the denomination since 1991.
Dunn earned a Bachelor of Arts from Bartlesville Wesleyan College (OKWU) in 1988, a Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary in 1991, and a Doctor of Ministry from Trinity International University in 1998. Throughout his career, he has served in leadership on numerous boards and taught at Wesley Seminary and Indiana Wesleyan University.
First serving as a local church pastor for 15 years, Dunn continued his ministry with The Wesleyan Church, leading as General Director of Spiritual Formation and Executive Director of Church Multiplication and Discipleship. From 2016-2019, he served as Vice President of Church Relations for the Wesleyan Investment Foundation, a ministry focused on encouraging and helping local churches reach their next level of ministry effectiveness. Dr. Dunn has been nominated for the role of General Superintendent of The Wesleyan Church.
Dr. Mark L. Weeter is a respected Wesleyan scholar, educator, pastor, and administrator with more than four decades of experience in ministry and higher education. He has served extensively at Oklahoma Wesleyan University, including roles as Provost, Dean of the School of Ministry and Christian Thought, Associate Vice-President of Academic Affairs, and Professor of Theology and Biblical Studies. Dr. Weeter holds a Ph.D. in Theology and Religious Studies from the University of Wales and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Reformed Theological Seminary.
An ordained minister in The Wesleyan Church since 1984, Dr. Weeter has pastored churches across Oklahoma, Kansas, and Mississippi, and has also preached in revivals, camp meetings, and conferences throughout the United States and internationally in Canada, Russia, India, and Mexico. He is widely recognized for his teaching in systematic theology, biblical studies, spiritual formation, and Wesleyan theology.
Dr. Weeter is also an accomplished author and presenter, best known for his work on John Wesley’s interpretation of Scripture, including his book John Wesley’s View and Use of Scripture. His lifelong commitment to Christian higher education, pastoral ministry, and the Wesleyan holiness tradition has made a lasting impact on students, pastors, and churches across the Wesleyan movement.

Kids' Ministry and Childcare
Kids' Ministry will be offered during District Conference business sessions, Friday afternoon breakout sessions, and Thursday and Friday evening services. Mary Helen Mosher is a student at Oklahoma Wesleyan University and will be leading the Kids' Ministry Team. She and the rest of the crew have experience in kids' ministry and are looking forward to meeting your kids. They have Bible lessons, worship songs, games, crafts, and more to learn more about God's love.
